About

Intro

Thanks for visiting my website. I have lived in Tulsa for 23 years now and I have been a personal trainer for 14 years now. I am married and we have two beautiful children together. I have a publishing company where I have published 5 kids books with my best friend and am currently working on a 6th book. I also have a tech youtube channel where I review products and have been even put in the credits of a video games thank you section.

Education

I have my Bachelors of Science in Nutrition from Oklahoma State University. Very few personal trainers have a degree in nutrition so I make sure I try to instill my knowledge of food into my clients.

Medical Exercise Specialist

I am a Medical Exercise Specialist which is a medical fitness professional who not only works with the typical client looking to improve their health and fitness level; but he or she also has the knowledge and skills to work with clients with a wide range of medical conditions. These atypical clients are “medical exercise or post rehab” in that they are referred to a fitness professional after completion of a rehabilitation program and now need a fitness program tailored to their particular medical condition.

Functional Range Conditioning

I am a FRC Certified trainer which was Developed by world-renowned musculoskeletal expert Dr. Andreo Spina, Functional Range Conditioning® and is a comprehensive joint training system based in scientific principals and research.

Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization

I am a DNS Sports Certified trainer. Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization, or “DNS” as it is commonly referred to, is a manual and rehabilitative approach to optimize the movement system based upon the scientific principles of developmental kinesiology. Put more simply, DNS is a rehabilitation approach which stimulates movement control centers in the brain to activate how our bodies were meant to move by restoring and stabilizing locomotor function.

GRIP Approach

“GRIP Approach is a comprehensive rehabilitative system that offers a global (full-body) perspective."

The acronym stands for Global Rehabilitation & Injury Prevention. GRIP defines the connection between seemingly disparate elements of human physiology and movement and how to interpret these elements for improved clinical outcomes. GRIP incorporates the neurodevelopment movements of developmental kinesiology (Vojta, Janda, Kolar), current fascia research (Stecco, Schleip, Vleeming), and modern pain science (Moesley, Butler) into a workable, exciting, and highly effective rehabilitative approach. We outline Functional Range of Motion (fROM) and demonstrate how to achieve it with the fewest steps and maintain it for performance.
